Former WWE legend Dynamite Kid dies on his 60th birthday
Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Professional wrestler and former WWE star Dynamite Kid, real name Thomas Billington, has died at the age of 60.
The Dynamite Kid -- one half of the famed British Bulldogs tag team duo -- has died, his family announced Wednesday.
Smith's son, Davey Boy Smith Jr. who has also performed in WWE, commented on Dynamite Kid's death on Twitter.

Dynamite Kid first made his mark in professional wrestling while competing in Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, a promotion run by WWE Hall of Famer Stu Hart.

His biggest moment was winning the tag team championship with British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith at Wrestlemania II back in 1986.
The duo defeated The Dream Team of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and Greg Valentine on the same night Hulk Hogan defeated King Kong Bundy in a steel cage match.

He turned 60 years old on Wednesday ... the same day he passed away.
Dynamite Kid's nephew, Davey Boy Smith Jr. -- a former pro wrestler himself -- issued a statement on his passing Wednesday morning, "It deeply saddens me to announce the passing of Tom Billington the 'Dynamite Kid.'
He joined WWE in 1984 alongside his cousin Davey Boy Smith to form The British Bulldogs tag team.
